Blinds
Mounting the Rails
You've already mounted the rails once, so doing it the second time is easy. Use your 3/8" bolts and a Fender
washer, and bolt them tightly into place. Make sure your rails are square, and your pockets
are tight. Check the proper playing area, from bumper to bumper. Then run the 5/16" bolt into the pocket ears, and tighten them snugly. That's about it!
Designing the Blinds
The blinds are very simple. They are cut to the same length as your rails. I extended the bottoms of mine
to wrap around the bottom of the pockets, but that's all up to you.
Some choose leave them squared. To make
the pattern for the curve, I took a one gallon paint can and made my circles (whatever looked good), on a thin piece of particle board. I then
cut it out with a scroll saw to make a pattern. I transferred the pattern to my boards, cut them out, sanded,
routed the edges, and stained them.
Installing the Blinds
Installing the blinds is very simple also. I glued, and nailed, three 4" long by 1" x 1" pieces of scrap wood to the inside
of each blind -- The top of this block should be level with the bottom of the slate backing. Then I inserted
the blind into the groove that we made into the bottom of the rail, held them tightly with the clamps, then
screwed the blocks into the slate backing to hold them permanently.
FINITO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Playing Pool
How to play pool...I have no idea! I've never picked up a cue in my life!!! :)
